We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Service Manager to assume accountability for operations and profitability of the Service Department. Make the most important move of your career. Job Responsibilities Manage all aspects of service department operations: staffing, provision of vehicle services, warranty administration, client retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives and maintenance of all service records. Ensures that the daily inventory of Technician’s time is consistently sold to service clients. Reinforce behaviors that are desired or that make a substantial positive difference at BMW of Ridgefield. Coach and counsel Service Advisors, Service BDC, Service Body Shop Advisor and Service Drive personnel. Hold regularly scheduled meetings to ensure that BMWOR is operating efficiently and profitably. Our Service Manager serves as a liaison between the Shop Foreman, Service Advisors, Parts personnel. Technicians and Warranty Administration. Monitor daily, weekly and monthly performance of each service employee. Ensure customer satisfaction with repairs performed. Resolving customer issues that relate to service. Follow BMW factory and BMW of Ridgefield’s standards. Expeditious, yet thorough approach to vehicle repair. Attend and successfully complete BMW factory training as required by the BMW factory or BMW of Ridgefield. Job Requirements European brand or BMW experience preferred, Automotive Technical training. Five to ten years related experience in the automotive industry and experience in a managerial position. Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent certificate. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. ASE Certifications considered. Must work well with others, team oriented and comfortable working in a very busy Service Department. CDK (ADP) and Mpi experience.
