As a vital member of our IT team, you’ll assist users in person and over the phone, helping to ensure smooth daily operations throughout the organization. As a Systems Administrator within the Northeast Health District Computer Services at the Georgia Department of Public Health , you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Job Responsibilities Identify and resolve network-related issues to maintain reliable connectivity. Troubleshoot and fix hardware and software issues, including Microsoft Windows OS, Office 365, Adobe, and major web browsers. Maintain and service essential business hardware such as computers, printers, fax machines, and postage meters. Provide outstanding customer service while interacting professionally with staff at all levels. Document IT solutions and provide updates to ongoing projects. Use your critical thinking and organizational skills to solve technical problems efficiently. Follow established IT policies and procedures while adapting to evolving organizational needs. Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and expertise in supporting the team. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of related experience. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities BS in Computer/Information Systems or 2+ years as a systems administrator in a small or mid-sized organization. Working knowledge of Active Directory (user, printer, and share management). Experience with VMware or similar virtualization technologies. Scripting skills to automate operational tasks. Healthcare industry experience is a plus. Annual Salary $55,000 plus, generous benefits package including 13 paid holidays, accrued annual and sick leave, health insurance, and retirement plans.
