The Opportunity + Role:

H+M is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic team of professionals who seek to enable our clients to say the right thing to and engage with the right audiences in the right ways via the right mix of public relations channels in order to achieve the best, most optimal results. The individual who steps into this role should be a seasoned public relations professional with expertise in English and Spanish-language media outreach, as well as leading multiple projects, having played a similar role at a public relations agency. Additionally, as a valued member of the agency team, it will be advantageous to the individual if they have strong experience in strategic planning; ideation and execution; team mentorship and guidance; client relations and counsel; press material development and editing; media relations and storytelling; event planning and execution; and more. 

At the onset of employment, this individual will lead and help support project and campaign activities for several of the agency’s retail and innovation clients. The Senior Account Executive will work in close partnership with the Account Director and other members of each of their account teams to do what we do best and most pride ourselves on - delivering the unexpected in each and every way.

The individual who steps into this role will work remotely from their home office in Miami and be required to regularly support and staff local events like movie premieres, press junkets, film screenings, celebrity meet and greets, influencer activations, and more across Miami-Dade County (often at night and on the weekend, and sometimes on holidays). Overall, this team member may need to support and staff about four to six events each month, with some time periods being busier than others.

Core Responsibilities:

Core responsibilities expected for this position include (but are not limited to) the ones listed below.

  • Serve as a primary contact for clients, anticipating their needs and proactively sharing insights and updates.
  • Help lead media outreach and communications; write, review, and/or edit client and media materials; and ensure team communications are clear, concise, and include a distinct POV.
  • Help manage various PR and communications activities across the country - including events, announcements, storytelling and more.
  • Help plan and execute PR events, alongside the agency’s event production partners and vendors; and oftentimes working on some event production elements independently without production partners depending on the scale of the event. 
  • Effectively manage the team’s campaign or project finances.
  • Oversee the team’s ongoing reporting efforts; always looking at new and different ways to present and share updates and put findings to good use.
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive coverage recaps that reflect all campaign efforts, including quantitative and qualitative storytelling and analysis, as well as combined key learnings. 
  • Support with campaign planning; this includes development of PR plans, new project proposals, campaign concepts, and more.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our clients’ businesses and industries, and encourage other team members to do so as well.
  • Staff events like movie premieres, press junkets, film screenings, celebrity meet and greets, influencer activations, and more.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, Senior Account Executive candidates must meet the below requirements.

  • Exemplifies excellent written and verbal communications skills , and is fluent in English and Spanish , and can seamlessly write and speak in both languages with clients, media, and others.
  • Held a similar role at a public relations agency , and worked with clients in the retail, technology, lifestyle, entertainment, or other related industries. 
  • Exhibits strong problem solving skills and readily and easily takes action to solve any possible issues.
  • Is detail oriented and is ready to go the extra mile to make sure all work is correct while also on strategy, on time, and on budget. 
  • Acutely understands how to reach and engage a multicultural audience , via public relations, and has a proven track record and experience in integrated and strategic communications across the entire paid, earned, shared, and owned spectrum.
  • Based in Miami, Fla ., and is able to staff and support in-person events on a regular basis throughout the Miami area - at night, on weekends, and on holidays, if needed.
  • Earned a Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations, marketing, English, or a related field of study from an accredited institution.
