Reports to: GM/Sales Manager

Job Description: We are looking for a knowledgeable and driven Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who understands the equipment we sell and thrives on creating value for customers. You will manage the entire sales process from lead generation to final paperwork.

This position follows a clear development track over your first year:

Development & Training Timeline

0–3 Months | Orientation & Foundations

  • Complete company and dealership onboarding
  • Learn Kubota and Ag Supply product lines, pricing tools, and sales systems
  • Shadow experienced sales reps on demos and sales calls
  • Support parts and service teams to understand full-cycle dealership operations
  • Complete initial OEM product training and compliance modules

3–6 Months | Independent Sales Engagement

  • Begin managing inbound inquiries and walk-in customers
  • Conduct basic equipment demos and customer consultations
  • Provide pricing, quotes, and product availability using CRM and manufacturer tools
  • Participate in advanced OEM and supplier training sessions
  • Begin achieving individual sales goals with coaching support

6+ Months | Sales Ownership & Community Impact

  • Own a customer portfolio from first contact through post-sale support
  • Lead training sessions for customer staff on new equipment
  • Represent the dealership at farm shows, community events, and supplier meetings
  • Maintain up-to-date training certifications and ongoing learning
  • Drive territory growth and support long-term business development

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in all key product lines that the dealership sells
  • Recommend equipment and product solutions based on customer needs
  • Demonstrate products, explain features, and provide post-sale training
  • Spend four days per week in store and one day per week in the field calling on current and potential customers developing new business
  • Generate leads, cold call, and visit job sites, farms and businesses
  • Build relationships with an assigned customer base
  • Quote pricing, financing, warranties, and delivery timelines
  • Answer questions about product availability, use cases, and credit terms
  • Build and maintain internal and external lasting relationships aligned with company values
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals
  • Stay compliant with manufacturer/OEM training requirements

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with a customer-focused mindset
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and dealership systems
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Ability to learn and operate equipment for demos

Preferred:

  • 1–2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or ag equipment
  • Knowledge of agricultural, construction, or utility equipment markets
  • Bilingual abilities a plus

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods standing, walking, or demonstrating equipment
  • Outdoor work in varied conditions
