• Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's tertiary care and Level II Trauma Center, housing the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nurse with patient care by observing and recording cardiac rhythms according to hospital policies and protocols.
• Accurately identify cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Communicate any changes to the appropriate personnel and record rhythm strips every four hours or with any change in rhythm.
• Provide other nursing units with a summary of telemetry activity at the end of each shift.
• Deliver direct patient care and assist in ensuring holistic care, patient dignity, and quality of life.
• Contribute to health status assessments by collecting and recording objective and subjective data.
• Complete all documentation within departmental requirements and timelines.
• Greet and acknowledge all customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Participate in the responsible management of all departmental and hospital resources.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Current CNA Certification in the State of Idaho.
• Current BLS certification.
• Successful completion of an approved course in cardiac dysrhythmia recognition and satisfactory performance on a written dysrhythmia identification examination.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior Monitor Tech or EKG training.
