Clean Harbors in  Henderson, CO is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator / Truck Driver for our HAZMAT Emergency Response team to operate heavy equipment such as a backhoe, heavy duty crane, heavy duty forklift and/or track hoe within the field.

  • Valid Class A CDL License required with tanker & hazmat endorsements, unrestricted (able to drive manual)
  • \n
  • Monday through Friday schedule, average start time 6 am
  • \n
  • Typically, an 8-10+ hour day, overtime after 40 hrs.
  • \n
  • On-call availability and ability for some travel required
  • \n

\n Key Responsibilities: \n

\n
    \n
  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
  • \n
  • Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed (team atmosphere where everyone helps)
  • \n
  • Operate a variety of Class A trucks
  • \n
  • Loading and unloading of trucks
  • \n
  • Manual labor on site to ensure fulfillment of customer needs
  • \n
  • Proper placarding of vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations
  • \n
  • Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports
  • \n
  • Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
  • \n
  • Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
  • \n
  • Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
  • \n
  • Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
  • \n
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • \n
  • By position, ability to be on call for emergency response on rotating basis every other week
  • \n
  • By position, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and the handling of hazardous materials
  • \n

\n Required Qualifications: \n

\n
    \n
  • Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement 
  • \n
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission
  • \n
  • Ability to use various mobile devices
  • \n
  • Perform physical functions per job requirements
  • \n
  • Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
  • \n
  • Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.
  • \n
