Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to work remotely on government-funded entity audits, including schools, hospitals, and administrative agencies, across the United States. This contract-based role offers the flexibility of working from home and provides an opportunity to manage and supervise financial audits for a variety of public sector clients.

Key Qualifications:

Public Accounting Experience: At least 5 years of experience, particularly in performing financial audits in the public sector.
Industry Experience: Work in state-funded organizations (schools, hospitals, etc.), municipalities, or administrative agencies.
Educational Background: BA/BS in Business with a focus in Accounting.
CPA Required: Must hold a valid CPA license.
Skills: Proficiency in GAAP and GAAS, excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and experience supervising and training staff.
Responsibilities:

Assist with wrap-up and review of audit fieldwork, finalizing work papers, and checklists, particularly for government audits.
Review draft financial statements and other audit-related documents.
Report audit findings to relevant stakeholders.
Supervise, train, and develop other team members.
Maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and team members.
