Position Summary

Exceptional customer service is key to our success at Iron Oak Energy. As the Account Representative you will be the first impression our customers receive and the lifeline to our business cadence. You will collaborate with the operations team to fulfill customer needs, provide spot purchase solutions and maintain inventory control of our sand products. This position will require you to think quickly on your feet and be strategic with your decisions. The Account Representative will also support the Business Development team with special ad hoc projects and reports regarding supply forecasts, customer-driven data and market analytics, in effort to identify commercial sales opportunities.

Essential Functions

  • Receive incoming requests for spot purchases from strategic and transactional customers and establish rapport while providing customer service solutions
  • Maintain daily sales report and utilize customer demand forecasts to populate monthly customer requirements
  • Communicate with Operations team to help forecast supply, remedy customer issues, and spot purchase orders
  • Support Business Development team with preparation of marketing and customer analytics for internal review
  • Assist Business Development team with comparing supply and demand forecasts to identify sales opportunities
  • Monitor market data to assist the Company in data-driven decisions
  • Other special projects as needed to assist in developing the Company marketing strategy to target existing and new customers

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of experience preferred, working in a sales, operations, customer service, or marketing role
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication, both written and oral, and interpersonal abilities
  • Must hold extreme regard for being responsive and flexible to customer requirements and requests
  • Highly motivated problem solver and critical thinker
  • Strong desire to be a part of a start-up/high growth company with an entrepreneurial spirit and a fast-paced, result-oriented culture
  • Must be available for rotating on-call after-hours shifts
